More Unseen Photos

I don't know how I forgot to edit some of these sillies back when I took them, but here are some more AirBean shots for the day :)

More Puppy Porn

Can't say I didn't warn ya this time!

I've been so busy over the last few days between house hunting and working that I haven't had a chance to make an update, but Neo and Fillie have tied each day.

They tied at the training building Tuesday and Wednesday after my classes were done for the day, and again tonight at my house.  By Tuesday night they figured out that laying down whilst tied for 30min is the most comfortable way to go about it.  Tonight was the strangest yet.  Fillie was on the ottoman and Neo was in the oversized chair behind her.  He started humping away and ended up tying as they were falling through the crack between the two pieces of furniture -- !!  What???  Seriously, nothing they do is normal ;-)

Here's to hoping for happy, healthy puppies in a couple of months!!  After tying on days 12, 14, 15, 16, & 17, I'd say we're pretty well guaranteed a litter at this point unless something goes horribly wrong.  Keep your fingers crossed for lots of smooth girlies for Lindsey to choose from!

[Tuesday Night] Fillie enjoys her belly rub from Aunt Lindsey while Neo enjoys...Fillie.

[Thursday Night] Tying as they fall...

Fillie wants to know just what in doG's name is going on here...

...and why she's being drug backwards by her boytoy!!

In the end, she doesn't mind at all.  LoL.  Look at their smiles!!

Dorks.

These two are going to have the flyingest, dorkiest, cutest puppies ever!!

Just found this old one online.  I think Fil' was about a year old here.  Dork :)

More Beans!

More flirting, and more Beanie-making tonight!  Today's Day14 in her cycle.  Will get with Lindsey/Neo again tomorrow and she should be pretty well covered.  We'll see how long she's into it.  She's definitely been enjoying herself -- telling Cleatus to BACKOFF!! and flirting with Neo with everything in her power.  Too funny.  What a silly little Bean!!  :o)

There would be more XRated puppy porn if they hadn't decided to tie back in the "love corner" so Neo could use the wall to help with leverage.  Turns out when he's doin' the deed, his legs are a bit shorter than Fil's, which leads to a lot of tap-dancing.  While hilarious to us, it's likely not all the comfy for either of them.  He unexpectedly tied just as soon they came inside from a potty break, so I didn't get the camera out in time.  I only had it ready as they were flirting beforehand and afterward.

The tie tonight lasted about 25min.  They're so funny in how restless they get towards the end.  Their eyes seem to plead with us to make it end.  Poor dogs.  The things they do for us!!

We Have Liftoff!

We did it!

Er, well, THEY did it rather.
Jeff & I took Fillie over to Neo's house this afternoon as she was lookin' pretty "in".  Once at his house, it took Fil' no time at all to find Neo and lay on the hardcore flirt action.  She was wigglin' and squeakin' and flaggin' her tail back and forth something fierce.  After being an intact male for 7yrs (think "The 40 Year Old Virgin"), and being told "no, don't hump that!" "stop humping!" "no sex for you!" all that time, Neo wasn't at first sure that he ought to actually give it a go.

After at least a dozen attempts, and a lot of "good boy, yes, good boy!"s, he finally got it going.  His first attempt was an external tie, so we waited 30min to try again.  In the interim, both of Lindsey's other [neutered] male dogs paid particularly close attention to poor little Beans as they walked around outside to regroup.

We were about to resort to Lindsey just "inserting tabA into slotB", but Neo had perfect aim the second tie, and they stayed there for ~30min.  They both looked a bit confused, and by the end they were quite antsy to be done with the whole process, but it *was* a success!!

I have to admit I was a bit confused as right after they untied Fil' ran to the back door and left a trail of wetness in her wake.  Should we hold her upside down for 30min or something?  Meh.  We'll let nature run its course here.

Today is day12 in her cycle, so we'll try to get together once a day or so until she's no longer interested.  She was, *ahem*, rather interested today.  Seriously, what kind of parents take their teenage daughter to her 40yo boyfriend's house, coach&cheerlead them as they have intercourse, and cross their fingers for pregnancy?  We are some seriously awful parents, let me tell you!

I took some photos of the tie -- unfortunately, all I had handy was my camera phone (even though I took my nice camera !!), as I thought we were still 'taking a break' when BAM, the magic happened!  So, if you do not want to see a couple of dogs in the butt-to-butt position, please stop reading now.  If you do, however, want to see a little YinYang BC love, please scroll down.

Origin

I'm going to explain here why exactly I'm breeding Fillie & Neo this time around.

It all started December 2009 when Lindsey's heart dog, and medical alert dog, Cappuccino was attacked and killed in her yard by a pack of wild somethings.  He was 9yo at the time, and the loss was very hard on Lindsey.  Not long afterward, a wily little pup named Jimi wiggled into Lindsey's life.  Even though Lindsey had a completely different dog in mind when she planned her next pup, Jimi just fit right into the hole Capp left in her heart, and it was only fitting that Jimi, too, was a rough coated tri.

Jimi was a hoot.  A true character.  She and Fillie were the best of friends, pretty similar in age, and *very* similar in personality.  Jimi even got the nickname of "Fillie Jr" before too long.  They'd play AF games (where one would run to the top of the AF, the other would follow, then they'd turn around at the apex and race back down, through a tunnel, up again, .... and repeat...& repeat...& repeat!!)  Sometimes they'd just hang out on the AF and watch everything going on in the world.  They were a real pair, a truly comical team!

Sadly, Jimi was struck by a car and killed in November 2010.  The loss was very hard for Lindsey, who was still getting over not having Capp in her life.  Jimi's passing hit everyone here at Dog City pretty hard.  Jimi was our mascot, our silly little barker and self-agility-doer.  She started scaling the AF on her own at like 9wks old!  There'll just never be another Jimi.

As if the losses of Jimi and Capp weren't enough, Lindsey's 14yo JRT Lucky had a heart attack and passed away in December 2010.  Three dogs in one year -- that's no kinda luck to have!

Lindsey's current Medical Alert dog is 7yo, and the son of Capp.  She had tried to get others to follow in his footsteps as a backup measure, but none so far had been able to alert her.  Since she needs a MA dog, and she *really* needs something GOOD to happen, we're making her a puppy.  Custom ordered just for her, and hoping the genetic link is what gets her her next MA dog.

Her pup will be named [Kanga]Roo in honour of Lucky, whose nickname was Roo.  In Capp's legacy, and Jimi's memory, this pup will be a special member of Lindsey's family for sure.

There will be nothing that can keep these pups down -- I'm sure they'll JUMP right out of the womb!  Fil' and Neo both have springs in their rear ends and can fly higher than any dog ought to be able ;-)  I'm super excited to see what this cross produces and only time will tell how many little bundles of joy will enter this world this Spring :)
